Expanding the Frontiers of Computer Science
Mehran Sahami, Nebraska Innovation Campus Auditorium, 1:30 pm
Mehran Sahami is a Professor and Associate Chair for education in the Computer Science department at Stanford University. Prior to Stanford, he was a senior research scientist at Google. His research interests include computer science education, artficial intelligence, and web search. He has published over 50 technical papers and has over 20 patent filings on a variety of topics. Sahami is the co-founder of the ACM Conference on Learning at Scale and is the 2014 recipient of the ACM Presidential Award. He holds a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University.

In our Design Studio, student teams partner with sponsoring organizations to design and develop real-world, software-based solutions. This program will feature the Design Studio team that is awarded the Platinum Project Award, an internal award showcasing the team that delivers the “best” project by overcoming hurdles and working together.
