Doug is Adjunct Associate Professor at the Raikes School and a 25+ year veteran of software engineering and development. Creating complex software systems has been the core of his work experience. He has held a wide variety of software development roles in industries such as aerospace and defense, healthcare, manufacturing, ecommerce, consumer web applications, and internet network services.

Doug applies his extensive experience and unique ability to adapt a variety of best practices, patterns, and methodologies to the software development process. Combined with rigorous engineering discipline, these factors are essential to the quality and effectiveness of the teams and products he has developed.

In addition to his civilian career, Doug served in the Air National Guard for 21 years, retiring at the rank of Major in 2006.

Doug holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an M.A. in Finance and Management from Webster University in St.Louis.
