Stanford Professor to Focus on Innovation and Technology on September 19

On September 19, students in the Raikes School are set to learn about how Entrepreneurial Leadership and other skills will prepare them to solve the biggest problems facing society in the 21st century. Stanford Professor Tom Byers will deliver an address entitled Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation: What we teach and why - Discover the skills needed to solve the 21st century world problems.

A leading expert on high-growth entrepreneurship and technology innovation, Tom Byers has been inspiring student entrepreneurs and technology leaders for more than 30 years. Byers and his team at the Stanford Technology Ventures Program focus on helping students and faculty around the world recognize and capitalize on innovative ways of thinking. During his presentation, Byers will describe how you can learn the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of entrepreneurial leaders and innovators who are changing the world for the better.

Tom Byers holds the Entrepreneurship Professorship Chair of the School of Engineering at Stanford University. He is the founding faculty director of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program and director of the NSF-funded National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation (Epicenter).
