Design Studio Showcase Preview

• Fiserv is a global leader in financial services technology solutions and wants to prototype the next generation voice interface for conversational interaction with financial data. 
  The Design Studio team has prototyped integrating Microsoft Cortana into Fiserv’s financial institution data warehouse, leveraging IBM Cognos and Microsoft Power BI.  Executive teams can now seek information about the financial health of their institution and their customer base using the newest digital interaction, voice. 

• Realm Five is leading the shift from precision agriculture to decision agriculture and needs a system to analyze location and proximity data on farm assets. 
  The Design Studio team has developed a system that uses location data of assets to monitor, analyze, and display operation and cost data to provide management with insight for making informed decisions in agriculture and other industries.  The solution leverages Ruby on Rails, ReactJS, and AWS with Docker to provide analytics at scale efficiently. 

• Erudite Digital Learning Lab develops no cost digital learning programs for struggling learners and is completing their First Steps to Reading Fluency game prototype. 
  The Senior Design team has refined and completed Erudite’s First Steps to Reading Fluency prototype, which was developed by an interdisciplinary team within Design Studio during the 2016 - 2017 academic year. First Steps to Reading Fluency is a trilogy of digital games that provide personalized practice of letter names (lower and upper case), letter sounds (A-Z), and sight words (Dolch Primer/First Grade Sight Words). Players advance through a series of practice experiences that must be completed accurately and fluently.
