Save the Date! Fall 2020 alumni reunion activities will take place on Friday, October 9 prior to Nebraska’s homecoming football game against Illinois. We look forward to specially honoring Cohort 2001 (2005 graduates) for their 15-year reunion, Cohort 2006 (2010 graduates) for their 10-year reunion, and Cohort 2011 (2015 graduates) for the 5-year reunion. We will also honor cohort 2016 (2020 graduates) as their senior recognition events were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. A block of hotel rooms will be available at the Graduate Hotel with reduced rates. We look forward to seeing our alumni each fall and hope you are able to join us for opportunities to network and reconnect with friends and classmates.
More details about events, registration, and the hotel block will be sent in the summer alumni newsletter. We also recognize the COVID-19 pandemic may impact activities through the fall of 2020. We sincerely hope we are able to gather in person in October but will make alternate plans if the need arises.
As part of this fall alumni reunion, we will also convene the first meeting of a Raikes School Alumni Engagement Committee. The main purpose of this committee will be to help the Raikes School students, faculty, and staff connect with our alumni across all cohorts. The Alumni Engagement Committee may be asked to help coordinate alumni gatherings in their home cities, reach out to cohorts from their era to encourage participation in School activities (events, mentorship programs, career fairs, etc.), and provide input on ways the School can foster relationships with alumni. The committee will likely meet in person each fall in conjunction with the alumni reunion and will convene remotely at least one other time each year.
