Glow Big Red 2024 - Thank you!
On February 14 and 15, the Raikes School participated in Glow Big Red – 24 Hours of Husker Giving led by the NU Foundation.
This year, the D F Dillon Foundation challenged the Raikes School to reach 100 donors. Our donors increased by 25% over last year and, because of the increase, and thanks to 124 donors, a $50,000 contribution challenge was met! The Raikes School donations exceeded $65,000!
Cohort 2017 topped the Raikes School Alumni chart with $2,555 donated by 9 individuals. A huge thank you to Connor Jolley for his generosity as a Dollar-for-Dollar match donor! The Raikes School 2017 Cohort Scholarship fund is 25% of the way towards being fully endowed. Once endowed, future Raikes School students will receive scholarships in perpetuity.
Finally, we recognize that Raikes School parents are a huge part of our community. The total donations to the Raikes School Parents’ fund during this two-day period exceeded $4,000 leading this fund to become fully endowed. We are thrilled that we can offer scholarships from this fund starting next year.
