Design Studio Showcase

On Friday, April 29 from 2:00-4:30 pm CT, the Raikes School will host the annual Design Studio Showcase at Nebraska's Innovation Campus. The 2021-2022 year saw an outstanding collection of Raikes School Design Studio projects, as we partnered with 19 sponsors and a student-initiated startup to produce 20 projects! Our students have worked hard to deliver innovative solutions to real business problems, utilizing a wide array of technologies to make it all happen. Here are a couple of projects making a big impact:

  • Bridges to Hope is tracking services provided to individuals reentering the community after incarceration.
The Design Studio team has created a cloud-based application to manage services for individuals released from correctional institutions to help them transition to a productive life after their release.
  • Signature Performance is better identifying instances of suicidal and homicidal ideation, bringing aid faster to veterans in need.
The Design Studio team has engineered a call flagging service composed of a machine learning algorithm and pipeline infrastructure that feeds real-time voice data and instantly notifies call service representatives.
  • VIZN Stats, a Raikes School student startup, is helping coaches tag performance statistics that matter to their team.
The Design Studio team has built the most intuitive tagging tools for teams to record practice data which empowers coaches to create anything from opponent scouting reports to individual player evaluations.

All Raikes School alumni are expressly invited to the Design Studio Showcase, where you can see all of the students' hard work and connect with our Design Studio students, partners, and the Lincoln community. For more information and to RSVP, visit https://raikes.unl.edu/showcasersvp.
