Julie oversees the daily administrative functions within the Raikes School. This includes management of the main office, financial activity, budgeting, and human resources. She is responsible for standardizing and documenting procedures and policies. Additionally, she completes a variety of projects as they arise.
Prior to joining the Raikes School team in September, 2017, Julie worked for the State of Nebraska for 21 years in the DAS Materiel Division and on the DAS Nebraska Information Systems support team. She retired from the Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Logistics branch. Both of these experiences provide Julie with a unique skill set to support the Raikes School operations.
Julie has her undergraduate degree in Rhetoric and Communication Studies from the University of Virginia. She obtained leadership and logistics training through various military courses, including Command and General Staff training and Combined Arms Services and Staff School (CAS3).
For her service as Transportation Company Commander in Iraq, she was awarded the Army Bronze Star Medal.
Julie enjoys working in her garden and spending time with her family. She also enjoys traveling whenever possible. Her bucket list destination is Greece.
