Glow Big Red 2023

On February 15 and 16, the Raikes School participated in Glow Big Red, which turned into "SNOW" Big Red due to a winter storm that shut down campus with a foot of snow. This NU Foundation annual event allows Huskers to generously donate for 24 hours. Once again, the Raikes School challenge donor was Raikes School Corporate Advisory Board member Coleman Fung. Aside from funding the Fung Institute at the University of California, Berkeley, Coleman continues to invest in Nebraska and the Raikes School, fostering our entrepreneurial learning experiences.

Coleman challenged cohorts to support their own cohort fund by working and giving together. Cohorts reaching a 20% participation rate in Glow Big Red had $25,000 added to their cohort's fund. An extra prize was awarded to the cohort who contributed the largest amount while earning the highest participation rate.

During Glow Big Red, the Raikes School raised over $30,000 from 101 donors. We exceeded Coleman's challenge of 70 donors and therefore received from Coleman an additional $50,000 donation to the Raikes School. Cohort 2016 won the highest dollar amount contributed and Cohort 2017 won the highest rate of participation. The Raikes School is grateful for Coleman Fung's continued funding and generosity.
