Our 6th annual Raikes School alumni reunion was held on Friday, October 1st in conjunction with Nebraska’s Homecoming activities.
Friday’s events began with alumni attending the Raikes School’s fall speaker, Alex Gounares, founder and CEO of Polyverse Corporation, who focused his discussion on cybersecurity. Alumni were then able to interact with current students and tour the Kauffman Center seeing their old rooms and renovations completed over the last few years. Friday evening featured a happy hour held at Lazlo’s in Lincoln’s Haymarket. This was our first in-person alumni event since the fall of 2019, and we were excited to see the 30 alumni who attended.
We expect to host a few in-person, location-based alumni events and virtual opportunities to connect alumni and current students in the summer of 2022. The fall 2022 alumni reunion is tentatively scheduled for September 30-October 1, 2022. More details about these events will be in the spring and summer 2022 editions of the alumni newsletter. We hope many of you will attend!
