Alumni Spotlight: Thank You Donors

Back in 2018, the Raikes School identified a set of values to which we as a community aspire. These values are intellectual curiosity, humility, gratitude, excellence, accountability, and resilience. Potential future Raikes School students are rated on how well they illustrate these values during their interviews, faculty and staff are annually evaluated to the extent they meet these values, and the Student Advisory Board helps to identify the 6 Raikes School students each year who best represent each of these values. 

The easiest value to attain should be gratitude. All it requires is being thankful and showing that you are thankful when someone does something for you. And yet, gratitude is the value, more than the others, that is so simple to overlook. At the Raikes School, we need to regularly be thanking our alumni for all you do to support our students - assisting with new student interviews, mentoring students during internships, coming back to recruit for your company, leading a session in our senior seminar to share your wisdom on preparing for life after college, and so much more. We plan to thank our alumni at least once a year for what you do for our community. At this time, we want to thank all of our alumni who made a donation to the University of Nebraska Foundation to support the Raikes School in the last year. Thank you for your support of the Raikes School!
