Cheryl Nelson, Director of Design Studio will be retiring effective May 19, 2023. Cheryl has worked in Design Studio for five years, first as a Program Lead and then as Director. In addition to ensuring the successful completion of nearly 100 capstone projects, Cheryl has been a driving force for entrepreneurship in Design Studio and has taught leadership classes at the Raikes School. She will be greatly missed!
Do you have a passion for cultivating the next generation of leaders in business and technology? The Raikes School seeks a visionary leader skilled in business strategy, program organization, budget, planning, instruction, and building relationships in the community to direct our unique capstone program. The Director of Design Studio must be able to identify and proactively manage challenges. The Director is responsible for obtaining industry sponsored Design Studio projects. Partnering with faculty, the Director leads a small team of Program Leads to instruct, coach, and mentor teams of students to complete their capstone requirements.
