To grow our Raikes School brand, diversify our applicant pool, and benefit Nebraska’s computer science education, the Raikes School is hosting two summer workshop opportunities for high school students. Recently, these workshops were featured by Forbes Magazine as one of the nation’s top STEM-Focused Summer Programs!
In Innovate: The Raikes School Way and Girls Who Innovate: The Raikes School Way, students will participate in a two-week, project based, on-campus workshop, where they will learn basic programming skills, receive instruction from UNL faculty members, experience what classes can be like in the Raikes School, visit local businesses and research labs, and interact with Raikes School students and staff.

What: Innovate: The Raikes School Way and Girls Who Innovate: The Raikes School Way
For: High School Students (primarily students entering college in fall 2020)
Where: University of Nebraska-Lincoln, students will be housed in the Kauffman Center
When: July 7-20, 2019
Cost: $525 (limited need-based scholarship opportunities are available, cost covers housing, meals, instruction, and activities)
Programming Experience: None needed (in fact, no experience is preferred)
Application Deadline: March 29, 2019 (applications will continue to be accepted until the camps are full)
