As the University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks to expand the Raikes School, the University will be seeking a new Executive Director to lead the Raikes School. Dr. Jerry Hudgins, who is currently the chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UNL, will become Interim Executive Director in August 2025, while the University searches for a new permanent Executive Director.
For one year, Steve Cooper will serve as Raikes School Faculty Director before heading to the faculty in the School of Computing in August 2026. Steve joined the Raikes School as Executive Director in January 2016, succeeding David Keck, who had previously served as the Raikes School's Executive Director since 2001. Later this summer, we'll look back on Steve's nearly ten years of service to the Raikes School in an interview with him.
