Drew is a Mental Health Professional with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) embedded at the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management. Drew has licenses to practice Mental Health Counseling in Nebraska (LIMHP 1123), Kansas (Prof. Clinical Counselor LCPC 04355), and Missouri (Prof. Counselor 2026031794) and out-of-state telehealth privileges in Florida and Idaho. Drew supports Raikes School students by providing individual counseling services, leading topical discussion groups, mindfulness meditation guidance, and informal support and outreach.

Work History

Drew has extensive experience as an agency-based and private practice psychotherapist in Nebraska. His career has included work with children, adolescents, and adults in residential, day-treatment, detention, and outpatient settings. He spent the 15 years prior to coming to the Raikes School as the owner of solo and group private outpatient counseling practices where he focused on blending cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based therapeutic interventions. In addition to his clinical career, Drew also has experience in the blue collar world establishing, building, and eventually selling a successful outdoor contracting business.

Personal

Drew enjoys music, especially attending live performances with his wife. He is a University of Nebraska and Indiana University sports fan (football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, baseball, softball...pretty much all of the balls) and he also follows the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. Additionally, Drew is a daily meditator, a yoga practitioner, and he is a Certified Teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction through the UCSD Center For Mindfulness, offering multiple MBSR sessions annually through his private practice.
