Julie is the Director of Operations and Special Projects at the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management at University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she oversees the daily administrative functions within the Raikes School. This includes management of the main office, financial activity, budgeting, and human resources. Julie is the manages communication and is a primary liaison with the Raikes School Corporate Advisory Board. In addition to completing a variety of projects within the Raikes School, Julie is responsible for standardizing and documenting procedures and policies.

Prior to joining the Raikes School team in September, 2017, Julie worked for the State of Nebraska for 21 years in the DAS Materiel Division and on the DAS Nebraska Information Systems support team. She retired from the Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Logistics branch.

Julie has her undergraduate degree in Rhetoric and Communication Studies from the University of Virginia. Upon graduation Julie was commissioned into the Army Reserves. During her career as an officer, Julie obtained leadership and logistics training through various military courses, including Command and General Staff training and Combined Arms Services and Staff School (CAS3).

For her service as Transportation Company Commander in Iraq, she was awarded the Army Bronze Star Medal.

Julie enjoys working in her garden and spending time with her family. She also enjoys traveling whenever possible.
