Theresa is the Assistant Director of Recruitment & Outreach at the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In her role, Theresa guides prospective students through the recruitment and application process. Leading campus visits and sessions at various recruitment events throughout the year, Theresa recruits new cohorts of students for the Raikes School each year. Theresa also coordinates the Raikes School Summer Camp, a two-week computer science camp for high school juniors and seniors interested in exploring computing and leadership. Theresa also supports current Raikes School students as an academic advisor for computer science, software engineering, and data science majors and as a co-instructor for RAIK 10 and RAIK 40.
Prior to joining the Raikes School staff, Theresa started her career in higher education as a Residence Hall Director at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She moved to Lincoln in 2019 to begin working as the Coordinator for the Nebraska Business Honors Academy in the College of Business at UNL. Theresa then spent two and a half years serving as the Assistant Director of Career Services in the College of Engineering, helping students find internships and jobs before joining the Raikes School.
Theresa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Biology from the University of Northern Iowa, and a Master of Science in Counseling and College Student Development from Kansas State University. In her free time, Theresa loves reading and visiting the library. She is also an avid runner, completing 7 half marathons and many other races. She enjoys checking out local breweries to find the best craft beer and trying new flavors of ice cream. Theresa also spends a lot of time attending Husker sporting events with her partner Lincoln.
